The Fellowship, founded in 1923, is the oldest such society in the country, predating even the national Gilbert and Sullivan Society. In its 85-year history the Fellowship has, in addition to numerous concerts for charity, produced 89 full productions at various theatres, including over twenty at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth. In the past ten years the Fellowship has three times won the NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) Regional Award for Excellence. Also notable have been a production of The Yeomen of the Guard at the Citadel and a performance of HMS Pinafore on board HMS Antelope, which was later sunk in the Falklands War.
