Welcome
to Plymouth Gilbert and Sullivan Fellowship’s website.
We
are one of the oldest performing companies devoted to the works of Gilbert and
Sullivan in the world! However,
we are moving with the times and perform other works too, for instance in 2009
our production was Franz Lehar’s “The Merry Widow”.
We
have recently recorded our second CD with HM Band of the Royal Marines
(Plymouth), “The Magic of Gilbert and Sullivan”, for the RNLI and we hope to
work with them again in the near future.
For
2010 we are presenting “Ruddigore” at the Devonport Playhouse in May –
this will be professionally produced by the renowned director Alan Spencer with
Dr Paul Foster conducting and Andy Martin designing the set and lighting. We
have exciting plans following “Ruddigore”, so watch this space for further announcements!
New
members and patrons are always welcomed warmly – please contact the company if
you are interested in becoming involved in any
way: secretary@plymouthgilbertandsullivan.com
